Free Is Better

So I got a trio of cards from Bo at Baseball Cards Come to Life.

1993 Upper Deck #773 Trevor Hoffman Front  1993 Upper Deck #773 Trevor Hoffman Back

1988 Topps Woolworth Baseball Highlights #7 Mike Schmidt Front   1980 Topps #202 Fred Dryer Front

-  1993 Trevor.  He debuted with the Marlins in '93 but was traded to the Padres mid-season in a deal that sent Gary Sheffield the other way.

-  1988 Schmidt honoring his HR record for third basemen.  Eddie Mathews held the old record.

-   1980 Dryer.  Interesting because of Hunter, but he was legit as a football player.  College Football Hall of Fame, first round draft pick, First Team All-Pro in 1974, Second Team All-Pro in 1975.

-  Bo has a unique, historical approach to card blogging:

  1. Dryer is a stud. Two safeties in a game and was once married to a Playboy model. Doesn't get much cooler than that.

  2. That Dryer is really great, I would've been all over it had I seen it!
