So I got 7 more packs of 1998-99 Topps hockey. Only 2 inserts, but a good batch of base cards.
- My first Brodeur.
- After trading for a Fuhr, I got one in a pack. Different teams though.
- Lindros put the Flyers in the discussion for a while, but couldn't close the deal.
- A couple commies who ruined the Flyers' '97 playoff run.
- Scott Gomez rookie card, as a Tri-City American.
- Season's Best Patrick Elias. Shinier than it looks here.
- Local Legend Dominik Hasek. I pulled his base, and it's also a ho card. Grrr.
It was another Topps National Baseball Card Day, so he gave me another pack.
- I also got Blake Snell, Vlad Guerrero Jr., and Juan Soto.
Couldn't ask for much better on the Yzerman/ Federov pairing....along with Miggy is a cool Motown sound!

DeleteI couldn't stand the Red Wings in the 90's. My buddy was a huge Federov fan and his brother was a Belfour guy. Ended up turning me off to both of these hall of famers.

DeleteSome 2007-08 cards are coming up near the end of the week. Maybe there will be somebody you liked in those.
