Post-Season Memory:  Getting owned by the Phillies in the 1993 NLCS.

-  I bought a blaster box of 2020 A & G from my dealer.  Not sure how I feel about it.  A lot of non-baseball cards I don't like and I don't like the minis.  Kind of wish the non-baseball cards would be historical figures and modern female figures.  Mob bosses, swimsuit models, etc.  So yeah - I'll take a Boog Powell for a pig. And I'll throw in a combine. Ha.

A Pink Correction

 So I do have pink baseball cards.  Or pinkish at least. No Cliff Floyd though.

The Weekly Clean-Up

-  So I got another shipment from Cardbarrel.  Completed my Base Stealers project, though I could use an upgrade for a couple.  Perhaps more importantly, I believe I completed my Topps Through the Years set. Still have to double check.  Got some cards for my MVP project, some 2017 Topps Fire because I like the look, and a few randoms that don't fit a theme. 

-  The Gale Sayers I mentioned in an earlier post was an upgrade for a frankenset slot.  Which meant I still wasn't happy with the Sayers in my special teamers collection.  So I paid my dealer's death tax on a third one.  The original one, which has writing from a green marker on the back, might show up in a future post. 

-  I still need to do my Best Sets of the 1980s post.  Deciding on my Top Ten was easy.  Ranking them 1 to 10 has been the hard part.

Pink (not the singer)

So Collecting Cutch is still driving the breast cancer awareness bus.  For his latest activity, he's offering a sweet Babe Ruth card to one lucky blogger who posts a pink card on his / her blog. I own several pink parallels, but sadly they're less common than base cards and do not have their pictures up on TCDB.  I had planned on showing a Kyle Rudolph SN499 that features him scoring a touchdown against the Cowboys. But I couldn't find a pic of it when I did an interwebs search.  So instead, this is what you get:

Montgomery had a rough childhood, so it's nice to see him find some success.
