The Beatles took the crown. That's their statue in Liverpool.
Their victims: The Police, AC / DC, Guns N' Roses, Fleetwood Mac, U2, and Michael Jackson.
The Rolling Stones getting knocked off in the first round might have been the upset of the tournament.
Matty K has a connection to the 10,000 Maniacs. But it's not as cool as Brett Alan's one-night stand with Susan Sarandon.
I'm surprised Paul McCartney made the Final Four, with his Beatles and Wings work not counting.
I tend to think of MJ as two big albums and a lot of hype, so I'm a bit surprised he made the championship.
It was fun! Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteOne-night stand. Hehe.
ReplyDeleteI think most people would count Wings as part of McCartney's solo career.
I think much of MJ's best work was with his brothers, although that really shouldn't count toward his solo career. You're right, if you take out Off The Wall and Thriller and don't count any of the J5/Jacksons stuff, it's pretty uneven.
Thanks for doing this!
I would count 'Paul McCartney and Wings' as his solo career.
DeleteBut not 'Wings'.
I voted differently than most. I took a chance and had fun. Thanks!
