A card from each page in my completed frankensets. If not the best, one that stands out to me for whatever reason.
Getting basketball done before the season ends:
- Walton's family was the subject of a popular TV show back in the day.
- Maravich died while playing basketball.
- 5'7" Webb on 7'0" Daugherty. Sort of.
- Lanier guarding Wes Unseld. The Bullets showed up as the other team on a lot of cards in this era. Like Topps only had one photographer.
- Not a fan of the backwards jersey, but The Logo is a good card to have.
- Rodman giving Bird an elbow to the chops. Not all heroes wear capes.
- Michael Cage appearance on that Karl Malone card.
- David Robinson on the Olajuwon card.
Some really nice vintage there. Pistol Pete, Rick Barry and more.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteA. Not sure if there's a basketball card hall of fame, but if there is... that Hoops Wilkins should be in it. What a fantastic looking card.
ReplyDeleteB. 1972-73 Topps is one of my all-time favorite basketball card designs. But we're absolutely on the same page with the backwards jerseys.
C. Wish that Payton was zoomed out just a tad bit more.
