Frankenbest Friday

A card from each page in a completed frankenset.  The best or maybe just one that stands out to me.

Getting hockey done before the season ends.

-  Esposito showing off a proper goalie mask.

-  Plasse repping the Rockies, who would go into hiding and then emerge as a baseball team.

-  Drury starred in the Little League World Series in 1989.

-  Gretzky is married to Janet Jones.

-  Plante's a legend, but Hextall is a Flyers legend.

-  Clarke needs no introduction.

-  Verbeek's rookie card.

-  Gilbert modeling the proper goalie mask.

-  Roy was so good, people often mistook him for a Flyer.

-  Graves with a Pepsi sign.

-  Recchi showing us how lazy hockey players are.

-  Johnston reps the defunct Seals.

-  Dornhoefer's a Flyers legend.

-  Subban's blackish, which was quite rare when I bought my first pack of hockey cards in 1991.  But it's less rare now.

-  The dude's name was Gump.

-  Hull in front of the Gateway Arch, which is right next to the freeway.  I got stuck in a traffic jam there once, with it looming over my right shoulder.

-  Houston is a Same Name and he reps a defunct team.

-  Orr is possibly the best defenseman to ever lace up the skates.

-  Another Flame in Clement, who I first knew about as an announcer.

-  Gretzky showing off his clean uniform because he never took a hit.

-  I first knew about Melrose when he coached the Kings to a spot in the Finals.

-  Hasek was a good goalie, but he had some bad masks.
