A to Z Challenge: Bookish Thoughts: C

C Is for Children's

I read a lot as a child; needed glasses by fifth grade.  The first books I bought with my own money - at a yard sale - were a Sherlock Holmes short story collection and a book on Abraham Lincoln's assassination. I remember reading a book that included a woman in a bikini, but I didn't know what one was or even how to pronounce it.  I also read Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret a bit before I should have. LOL.  Series I liked were The Hardy Boys and Encyclopedia Brown.

Anyway, I recommend the following:

    1. The first books I bought were about a lawyer and a doctor. Preparing for my future role as a Jewish mother. :)

    1. You might be a bit old for them. I wonder how The Westing Game holds up though.

  3. I eventually want to read all of Roald Dahl’s books. I read a lot of them as a kid. I’ve heard that his adult stories are pretty messed up, so I need to read those, too.
