A to Z Challenge: C

C is for Candy.  Not just a stripper's name, but part of a healthy diet.

Hershey's Bar:  It's so good they named a town after it.

Skittles: "Taste the rainbow."

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups:  Two in each pack, so commence your chocolate seduction.

Reese's Pieces:  Sales sky-rocketed in the early 1980's, due to its inclusion in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.

Snickers:  Named after a horse.

Jelly Beans:  Ronald Reagan's favorite candy.

Junior Mints:  Good enough for Cosmo Kramer.

Cadbury Creme Eggs:  A seasonal delicacy.

Candy Corn:  Corn is a vegetable.  You're welcome.

Almond Joy and Mounds:
"Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you don't."  - Leon Carr

I leave you with this, from Iggy Pop and Kate Pierson:

  1. Cadbury Eggs are my favorite! I stock up at Easter so that I have 2 per month for the rest of the year until Easter rolls around again. What's your favorite?

    1. I like them all, which might explain my dental situation. But as an adult, I tend to buy what's on sale.

    2. Totally understand. I used to really, really like Gobstoppers. Two crowns later, because I just can't resist the urge the bite them - they are Jawbreakers after all, I am my wallet had had enough. It was time to stop the insanity. I refuse to buy them anymore.

  2. I always found the Cadbury eggs too sweet but love chocolate. These are some great memories except I never liked jelly beans. I love smarties but I eat the purple ones last😀

    1. Purple is the color of royalty.

I'd choose chocolate over jelly beans, but I wanted to encourage candy diversity.

    2. Smarties! What a blast from my past! I haven't had them in... years! If I'm remembering correctly, I ate the white ones last for some reason.

  3. Candy I see it, it is gone, so I try to keep away from them. The song is a classic!

  4. Ah the controversial snickers bar...I remember when here (UK) it was called a marathon. Then some years later the name was to be changed so it was the same as the US. Shocking! I think it was pivotal, as the British public lost that battle but now when companies try to change the name of our favourite brands there is total chaos...coco pops were changed briefly to Choco krispies but sales were so effected they change it back! Lol

  6. Necco Wafers and the chunky Cadbury Fruit and Nut ... yum ... but I rarely eat chocolate these days ... WAH! (getting old and my craving for it lessens or maybe it was the fact when the "experts" started saying chocolate is actually good for you, that a lot of the companies reduced the amount of the good chocolate I their candies ... some I used to like a lot are now just awful ...
