Chinatown (1974): It's all about the water. And Faye Dunaway.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975): Based on the novel by Ken Kesey. Oscars for Louise Fletcher, Nicholson, director Milos Forman, Best Picture, and Best Adapted Screenplay.
Batman (1989): He insisted on a portion of the box office profits to portray the Joker. A B-movie actor from Minnesota provided the soundtrack.
A Few Good Men (1992): The good ol' days of Gitmo. When Tom Cruise drank Yoo-hoo and Demi Moore buttoned her top button.
As Good As It Gets (1997): Once again, Jack portrays a writer. Will it go better than it did in The Shining?
Do you have a particular favorite Nicholson movie? I am fond of The Bucket List and Something's Gotta Give.

DeleteIt doesn't surprise me at all that you would gravitate toward his more recent work. :)
He was excellent in Cuckoo's Neat...such a great film. Chinatown is difficult to watch but it is brilliant. I love The Bucket List and I think he fared better in As Good Aas It Gets as an author than in The Shining which still freaks me out
