Stopped at Barnes & Noble and got a couple boxes of baseball cards.  

First, a 59-card box of 2024 Topps Baseball Update Series.

-  Skenes is the guy who left a no-hitter.

-  Weird seeing Votto in a different uni.

-  I like how Winker held the pose for the photographer.

-  Alternate uni.  City Connect maybe?  

-  All-Star Game insert.

-  Two home runs in his first two post-season plate appearances.

The other box was a 2024 Topps Holiday Mega Box.  100 cards in this one.

-  Shohei and Gunnar are Santa cap variants.

-  Smith for my same name collection. 

-  Home run robbery by Nimmo.  

-  Some alternate uniforms.  

-  Suzuki was a 5x NPB All-Star.

-  Yoshida was a 4x NPB All-Star.

-  Matsui was a 5x NPB All-Star.

-  Senga was a 3x NPB All-Star.

-  Uwasawa was a 3x NPB All-Star.

-  My three Silver Glitter parallels.

-  I also got a Mike Trout Christmas ornament and a Jose Ramirez relic card. 

-  Anyway, I think they overdid it a bit with the design.  But I got plenty of keepers, so it turned out okay.

Another barter with Matty K.  Seems like the inventory is a bit depleted of cards I want.  But I've thought that before and new cards have been added to keep things interesting.

Scoring from My Dealer

 

Was in the area of Walhalla, so I stopped in for some cold brew coffee.  

Grabbed a "pack" of Score-A-Treat football cards while there.

 

-  A lot of retired greats, with the exception being Johnny Manziel, who will be on his way to a local thrift store next time I make it up there to donate some stuff.

-  The base cards are the orange, but the green showed up about as often.

-  The Rising Stars cards are inserts.  

-  Isolated action shots, much like my recent Score purchase.  Not sure what the reasoning is there.

-  Rookies (Rising Stars) get head shots instead of college unis.         

-  The green is more like Dickerson and Winslow than Chase and Marino.
