Scoring from My Dealer: Card Shop Part Three

Basketball highlights from the binder:

-  Some sweet SkyBox cards.

-  Three all-timers and Larry Bird from NBA Hoops.

-  A couple bad boys of different eras.

-  Embid's problem is he can't stay healthy.

Scoring from My Dealer: Card Shop Part Two

I bought a binder with a mix of baseball, basketball, football, hockey, and soccer cards.  Mostly cards from recent years, and a lot of inserts and parallels.

-  Caminero seems to have some power.  We'll see if he can sustain it.

-  A few Phillies.

-  Julio played for Modesto.

-  Acuna's got the talent, but he needs to be more durable.

-  When I was living in Philly, I saw Piazza help the Dodgers beat the Phillies.  When I was living in San Diego, I saw Piazza help the Mets beat the Padres.

Scoring from My Dealer: Card Shop Part One

Made it out to the card shop before Christmas and came away with a decent-sized haul.

First up is a bag of 1993 Donruss Series 1 baseball packs.

Let's peruse the highlights.

-  Still impressed by Abbott.

-  The Big Hurt's career looks even better with other guys outed as PED users.

-  Mahomes' son plays football.

-  Sandberg's a Phillies legend.

-  Lankford's from Modesto.

-  Oquendo's known for playing every position, but he has the 2nd highest career fielding percentage for second basemen, behind only Placido Polanco.

-  Thome's a Phillies legend.

-  Mulholland threw a no-hitter in 1990, which I watched on TV.  He was also a key '93 Phillie.

-  Williams was a key '93 Phillie.

-  Anyway, I think I got enough keepers for this to be worth it.  A lot of dupes and commons too, so expect those to start showing up in contest offerings and Time Traveling soon.

-  I'll probably make it back there soon, so hopefully they still have Series 2 bags.
